Youth Day of Service - South Side Family Farms with SERVEOHIO

This is the rescheduled date of this event, which was postponed on 4/20/2024 Join TMC Columbus and lend a hand to South Side Family Farms and SERVEOHIO for a Youth Service Day event!! Veteran Volunteers will assist South Side Family Farms youth volunteers with various projects around the garden grounds. The youth will be laying brick pavers, painting benches, and also painting a mural! One generation teaching the next! Our assistance will ensure South Side Family Farms can continue their mission to: - increase access to fresh produce and generate awareness of its health benefits among our underserved neighbors - educate on agricultural best practices for growing food systems and how to include these foods in their diets - create economic avenues in agriculture - educate and encourage youth to consider agrarian professions - provide safe environments for community connection and collaboration  All you need to bring is yourself, any friends who want to serve, and show up to mentor the youth and assist them with the projects.
