Ironstone Farm with RTXVETS

The Mission Continues Boston Platoon will join forces with RTX Veterans (RTXVETS) Employee Resource Group at Ironstone Farm on Friday May 3, 2024, for a fun and fulfilling morning of community service. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Volunteers can expect to be performing several different indoor and/or outdoor activities that support the farm and its infrastructures.

We welcome you to come help support the farm to advance the cause of providing our veterans and first responders with the resources they need to heal from past trauma.

About this cause:

Ironstone Farm: Employing horses in a working farm environment, Ironstone Farm provides beneficial therapy for people with a wide range of physical, emotional and cognitive disabilities. The two primary programs are Challenge Unlimited and Ironstone Therapy – both using the horse’s unique ability to enhance a person’s movements and touch a person’s heart, inspiring strength, hope and encouragement.
Challenge Unlimited: Our varied programs are helping children and adults with disabilities, veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, individuals with cancer, seniors with memory impairment, teens at risk, people in recovery from addiction and families in need throughout our local community and inner cities. All of these populations include individuals whose lives have been challenged – resulting from birth or through the influences of our environment. Ironstone Farm, our talented team, dedicated volunteers, along with a herd of 32 horses, directly influence their lives in a profound way every day,
