Do we have a 4th of July celebration for YOU! Are you ready for this line up?!?! We are going to kick off the afternoon by lending our incredible beautifying skills to the large wooden map of America and neighboring gazebo in Anacostia Park. We will be: painting the map, staining the gazebo, and putting in blue woodchips for the watery parts of the country. After we wrap up this awesomeness, we are gonna get right into celebrating. What does celebrating look like?? GREAT QUESTION! Shenanigans and tomfoolery include: -Slip n' Slide Kickball -Giant Jenga, Scrabble, and Yahtzee -Ladderball and cornhole Food is going to be on point. We will have the grills going, and food all afternoon and throughout the evening. The plan is to stay and take advantage of the lovely breeze coming off the river until the sunsets, then with Anacostia's open skies, we will sit back and watch the fireworks from the Mall and surrounding communities. It's going to be amazing. Come out and celebrate 'Merica, and all the sweat equity you've put into your communities!
