Join us on 9/9 as we commemorate with a National Day of Service. This is an annual and national event where Service Platoons from around the country will be serving to make a difference in their community. The New Orleans will be supporting this nationwide effort of service by renovating houses that are STILL damaged from Katrina over a decade ago. We will be partnering with lowernine.org, a nonprofit organization that has rebuilt 83 homes and completed repair and renovation projects on 200+ homes for returning Lower Ninth Ward families. They are a great organization at the forefront of revitalizing the Lower Ninth Ward. We will have the honor of working on houses owned and/or occupied by both veterans and civilians that have come back to their community in an attempt to start over and create a thriving neighborhood there. We will help them in repairing the homes for these pre-Katrina residents of the Lower Ninth Ward. Food and drink will be provided. Come and serve with us! CHARLIE MIKE
