We will be having our next social event combined with a Platoon meeting this coming Sunday, August 7th from 11am until 4pm. We have combined these events in hopes to get some additional input from members that have not been able to attend a meeting as of yet. We rely on the input and contribution of our members and your support is vital in order to accomplish the goals of this Platoon. Location: Virginia Key Beach- NORTH POINT PARK. You will enter the park at Arthur Lamb Jr Road. This is the location of the mountain biking trails. You will enter the park and tell them you are attending a veteran BBQ event for the Mission Continues and show proper military/veteran ID. You will follow the road until it forks, go to the right until it forks again and go right once more and will then arrive at the location. This is the address for the outdoor center located nearby for those who prefer a physical address. 3801 Rickenbacker Causeway Miami, Florida 33149 There are bike trails, beach area, volleyball and paddle board and kayak rentals onsite. The Outdoor Center will give veterans a 10% discount on rentals with valid ID. We will set up in the shaded area where picnic tables are located however they are first come first serve at the park. The Platoon will provide water, burger and hot dogs for all members that attend. Come out to enjoy some sun & grilling, connecting with fellow platoon & community members as we thank you for choosing to continue serving in your community.
