09:00 AM - 02:00 PM PST

Orange County Platoon

Event overview

HONOR. SERVE. INSPIRE. This January, let’s come together to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by taking action in our communities! The Mission Continues invites you to our annual Martin Luther King Jr Legacy of Service events where we will honor Dr. King’s vision of equality and service through hands-on community projects.

UNITY IN SERVICE Unity is not about being the same; it’s about coming together despite our differences. This January let’s unite through service to build a better future for all. By volunteering, we embrace our unique backgrounds and experiences, working side by side to create lasting change in our communities.

We will be at the community garden building some additional resources such as a compost station and shade structure. All ability levels are welcome, we could use some experienced builders but will also need help in other areas down to the gardening. This isn't just about service it's about comadarie so come on out!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
