Join the OC Platoon for a Beach Cleanup at Aliso Beach. We will be supporting the Surfrider Foundation which is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people. - Please register through TMC. Additionally Surfrider requests that participants sign their waiver at - DAY OF: you will receive a text to check-in electronically upon arriving please use the link to check-in and present the green check to our TMC representative. We'll be set up next to the Lost Pier Cafe. WEAR YOUR TMC BLUES IF YOU HAVE THEM!!! If you have gloves, grabbers, reusable bags (for trash), bring them, otherwise supplies will be provided as available. PLEASE: - Do NOT collect seaweed, wood, rocks, stones, seashells by the seashore. -Let us know if you find any 'sleeping' animals for Parks and Rec. to scoop up. - Bring back your trash once your bag its full, time runs out, or you must leave. Surfrider will weigh the trash, record the weight, then sort out the trash for items to be recycled. - For those that need community service hours, please present your form to a TMC representative for signature. - Bring reusable water bottle, reusable gloves (gardening or mechanic), and sun protection. - Avoid bringing plastic bottles, bags of chips, and other single use plastic products. - Dress for the beach, hat, sunglasses, shorts, and flip flops…
