Area Beautification at 9/11 Memorial

When: Tuesday, June 18th from 10:00am – 12:00pm

Where: Please meet me at the Survivor Tree on the 9/11 Memorial, located on the west side of the south reflecting pool. I’ve attached a map to help locate it. The address of the Memorial is 180 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007.

What: Your group will assist with the maintenance of the Memorial plaza, including clean-up activities such as picking up acorns, weeding, etc. Tasks may involve bending. We will not know the exact tasks your group will be assigned until closer to the day of because it depends on the needs of the day.

What to bring: Please wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes and dress according to weather. We also recommend wearing clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a storage area for personal belongings, please limit bringing large bags, as anything that you bring will need to be kept with you throughout the day.

Museum Admission: Please visit the ticketing page of our website. As noted under “Special Considerations,” we do offer free admission for Active/Retired U.S. Military with valid ID, but this offer is only for the servicemember. We also offer free admission on Monday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. These tickets are made available on the website each Monday beginning at 7 a.m. ET and are first come, first serve.
