Operation Mittens for Detroit 2

February 17, 2024

11:00 AM - 01:00 PM EST

Detroit Platoon

Event overview

Mittens for Detroit is an organization committed to providing warm gloves and mittens for residents of Detroit. As they enter their 14th season, they have distributed over a half million mittens to adults and youth!
Volunteers will be helping to sort, track, count and box new mittens and gloves. Additionally, we will be helping with a community pick-up and will be taking boxes outside for distribution through other organizations.

Snacks will be provided. You are welcome, but not required to bring mittens or gloves with you. They do need to be new gloves and they have the most difficulty collecting men's gloves.

Each person wanting to attend needs to register ahead and reach out to Tina Moncrief (313)729-1887 if you are no longer able to attend as we have a limited number of people we can take. This is an adult-only event as we are limited to 10 participants. Thanks!
