Donation Sorting at Catie's Closet

Join The Mission Continues - Boston Platoon at Catie's Closet Boston Distribution Center for donation sorting. Catie's Closet provides resources for children who are homeless or living in poverty. Catie’s Closet provides children access to clothing and basic necessities which are important in order to feel valued, build self-esteem, and allows our children to better focus on their education.

The Boston Platoon will sort and prepare clothing and basic necessity donations for distribution into Catie's in-school closets or for the SOS Urgent Response program. This includes separating donations by classification and hanging, folding, or sorting as needed. Volunteers can expect an upbeat team environment. Ability to read garment tags needed. The project pace is moderate and volunteers should come wearing comfortable clothes, a TMC Blue shirt, and comfortable shoes and be prepared to stand for the duration of the project sorting or hanging clothes. Catie’s Closet will provide gloves, hand sanitizer, and masks(optional).

What to Bring

Volunteers are welcome to bring any donations you feel are suitable for Catie's Closet. Catie’s Closet is looking for new or like-new items, school-appropriate clothing, and brands and styles our kids would be excited to wear! Catie’s Closet accepts infant, toddler, youth and adult sizes, also accepts new and full-sized toiletries.
