Event overview

We are excited to announce our return to the esteemed military museum to complete the restoration of the iconic "Path of Service" walkway. This project is a tribute to enhancing the beauty and preserving the historic significance of this symbolic route. Project Goals: The "Path of Service" embodies the valor and sacrifice of our service members. Our restoration work aims to renew this legacy for future generations. By refurbishing this key pathway, we strive to create an engaging and welcoming atmosphere that enhances every visitor’s experience. This walkway holds deep historical significance and together we will ensure its preservation as a lasting tribute. Timeline: The project is scheduled to commence at 10:00 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM. The dedication of our volunteers will be crucial in readying the "Path of Service" for the museum's grand reopening.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, the safety and well-being of our volunteers are our top priorities. If rain or adverse weather conditions occur on the day of, the following plan will be implemented: 1. Communication: Updates will be shared via TMC Miami Facebook page. 2. Event Cancellation: If conditions are unsafe, we'll cancel. 3. Rescheduling: We'll move the event to the following weekend. As always call me for any questions you might have!

Who We Are

The Mission Continues is a national non-profit that empowers veterans to continue serving in our nation’s under-resourced communities, giving veterans the opportunity to keep serving even after the uniform comes off, right here at home. Our programs deploy veterans and volunteers to work alongside nonprofit partners and community leaders to improve educational resources, tackle food insecurity, foster neighborhood identity, and more.  

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.

What is a Service Platoon? 

Service Platoons are your opportunity to engage and connect with veterans and community members while generating community impact in a real and tangible way. Led by veteran volunteer platoon leaders, each platoon works with dedicated community partners and volunteers to provide the manpower and support that they need to help them do their work more effectively. 

We currently have service platoons in more than 40+ cities across the country that are having events at least once a month. Everyone is invited to serve, regardless of veteran status: a service platoon is for you if you have a passion for service.
