The Mission Continues Baltimore 2nd (and 1st) Platoon are very appreciative of all the hard work done on our September 11th service event and are looking forward to our next service projects. Before we get covered in paint again, join us on September 30th for food, volleyball, horseshoes and other games with family and fellow veterans at Ft Meade, Burba Lake Pavilion Area # 5. No service project, no paint or weeds, just time to get to know each other and hopefully enjoy the great fall weather. Bring the kids, bring a side dish to share and any drinks (no glass containers). We will supply all the protein – in true Baltimore style, crabs! (and hot dogs) Access to Ft Meade is restricted; if you don’t have a current CAC or military ID card, we will need to submit your information to the Visitor Center. If you will need assistance in accessing the fort, please email me mramirez@missioncontinues.org by the 27th. So that we can properly plan for access and food, we will close registration on September 27th. Remember, minors can be added to an adult’s registration but adults must register separately. This will also help us plan for food. Fishing is allowed in Burba lake, with all local fishing laws in effect. There are three fishing piers and benches located around the lake. Local fishing permits are required for adults. However, anyone under the age of 16 does not require a license. Burba lake is stocked yearly. There is no swimming or boating on the lake.
