911 Stand Down 2021 Atlanta

The Atlanta 911 Stand Down 2021 is a community-based intervention event created to make a positive impact in the lives of Homeless Veterans and the at-risk population. This Resource Event is a collaborative partnership of non profits, local city, county, state and federal organizations all providing services to those in need. Key support from Calalus Charities, Atlanta Veterans Administration, Starbucks, United Way, Bombas and other community service providers. Services Provided: •Food•Hygiene items•VA Enrollment in healthcare•VA claims processing•Jobs•Training•Education•Petservices•Employment opportunities•Legal Services•Public Health Support•Housing•Social Security•Dental services •Support groups *COVID-19 precautions will be strictly adhered to and all volunteers will be asked to maintain a safe distance while they work. Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions: Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include coughing or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information. If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
