This Valentines' weekend TMC - Orlando will be getting together in Pine Hills to show our love and support for the students of Meadowbrook Middle School. All this year, Orange County Public School's new 'Curb Appeal' program is targeting the visual appeal of two dozen schools from around the district. With assistance from parents, students, staff, and community volunteers like ourselves, mulch is being spread and new plants are being added to beautify and encourage a healthy learning environment. The students at Meadowbrook have seen significant success over the last two years which the school attributes to mentoring and character building programs such as My Brother's Keeper. I highly encourage anyone interested in becoming a mentor at MMS to reach out to me directly for more information as they are always looking for individuals exactly like yourself. In meeting with OCPS' understandably strict policies regarding volunteers, I do ask that you please also register at: https://ocps.samaritan.com/recruiter/index.php?recruiterID=503&class=OppDetails&oppGuid={8831B5DF-C118-49C6-A7F5-55943700FAF8}&t=Curb-Appeal-Project Thank you and I look forward to seeing you on the morning of the 17th!
