Let the Water Flow at Harlem Grown!

August 12, 2017

Event overview

We are going back to Harlem Grown! Harlem Grown is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. Harlem Grown fulfills this mission by supporting the physical renovation of abandoned lots in Harlem, transforming them into thriving urban farms. One of the issues they are having in supporting their education and renovation missions is water and its drainage on the 134st lot. The build up of water is impeding progress and causing damage to the farm and the chicken coop. So we are going to get dirty and repair it! We will be fixing the drainage for Harlem Growns wash station and helping with a gutter for the chicken coop's rain water catchment, along with other refurbishments that they need. So come out and help the water flow freely for the chickens and the youth at Harlem Grown!
