The purpose is to not only clean and protect our environment but the beach air will surely bring a smile to your face! *From Surfrider Foundation about the event: "Take action to protect the environment by removing trash from our coastline. In addition to cleaning the beach, Surfrider can use the data you collect to influence laws that reduce pollution at the source!
