Join the Los Angeles Service Platoon in support of the 2023 Wasserman Serve Day. This year we will be serving at the Ritter Elementary School in Watts.
One day each year, the Wasserman Foundation hosts Wasserman employees and volunteers during their annual Wasserman Serve Day. The event started in Los Angeles years ago when Wasserman employees participated in activities such as renovating schools and playgrounds. The Mission Continues is proud to partner with the Wasserman Foundation to support its efforts.
This year, the project coincides with our United in Service campaign. September 11, 2023, marks 22 years since the devastating terrorist attacks of 9/11/01. In the wake of 9/11, a generation of veterans answered the call to serve with The Mission Continues. In 2023, we are being called to serve our communities once again. Our mission is clear, and we need you to join us, united in service, this September.
Ritter Elementary School was built around 1935. The historic campus is in dire need of restoration to create a safe and inviting space for the kids of Watts to thrive. The project details are still being finalized, but we will paint, build, landscape, and clean at the school.
