The Mission Continues will support Black United Foundation of Texas, Houston wilderness, and other partners in their goal towards planting 500 trees within Fifth Ward and Kashmere Gardens communities by December 2023. This planting event will continue to beautify the New Mount Calvary Baptist Church grounds. The main goal for this initiative is not only to improve the mental and physical health of the community. But the trees being planted will also help improve air quality, clean soil, produce food and mitigate heat.
