Independence Heights Community Garden

Join the Mission Continues- Houston 2nd Service platoon as we help the good people in the Independence Heights area of Houston with their community garden project. The project will involve the following: Tree prunning Deweeding garden Cleaning of fence line Building vegetable beds Installation of metal covering on top storage container to stop leaks Beautifying curbside with herbs and flowers Possible tree planting Mulching They currently need volunteers to help us prepare to plant our spring crop. Because we have been short of help for a great while we have not been able to maximize the growing potential of the garden. Consequently, because we have not been able to get enough food planted in time this has limited what our community can glean. More hands to help will allow us to serve our community with more fresh produce. We hope to see you there!
