On Saturday, October 1, you are invited to join The Mission Continues and the DC Building Industry Association (DCBIA) to update the community garden at Benning Terrace. This is a much needed makeover of a space that has fallen into disrepair. Projects include: Constructing garden beds Installing a gravel pathway Spreading wood chips Sodding Installing a shade sail Building benches and picnic tables The garden build is one piece of a much larger event coordinated by DCBIA. Volunteers at other sites throughout the property will be revamping recreational facilities, renovating the residents' community center and beautifying outdoor play spaces. Come out and be a part of this huge event!
