BIO

Bernd Peters is vice president, Air Dominance Business Development, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, where he leads a global business development team representing Boeing’s tactical aircraft programs that include F-15, F/A-18, E/A-18G, T-7, MQ-25 and MQ-28. The portfolio also includes leadership of business development activities across a variety of proprietary programs under Phantom Works. Prior to his current role, Peters was Vice President of Business Development for Boeing Phantom Works. In this role, Peters led a team responsible for growth in Boeing’s advanced innovation portfolio and provided strategic direction on campaign pursuits, customer engagements, marketing campaigns, investments and strategic industry partnerships. Prior to his role in Phantom Works, Peters was Executive Director of Marketing and Operations, Business Development. In this role, he led a field marketing team across more than 20 offices co-located across military installations in the U.S. responsible for growing the business and supporting customer priorities for Boeing’s defense, space and government services portfolios. He also managed the Business Development operations team, with responsibilities that included managing budgets, consultants and compliance; and the customer and market engagement team responsible for air shows, exhibits and priority customer engagements. Previously, Peters served as senior manager and chief of staff to Boeing’s senior vice president of Business Development. Earlier in his career, Peters held several positions across business development, strategy, and engineering. Peters began his full-time career at Boeing as a structural analysis engineer on the 787 program and first joined the company in January 2008. Peters holds a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering and Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He also received a Master of Business Administration from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
