Nashville, The Nashville Service Platoon is being called to enlist in its next service project. On 14-JAN-2023, beginning at 0900 sharp, your mission is to help optimize the operation of a foodbank in Antioch, TN. The primary effort will be building shelving for additional food storage. Other efforts include painting, cleaning, moving materials, having fun, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow veterans, and giving your skills back to your community in a meaningful and productive way. The Branch of Nashville is a non-profit organization foodbank serving the underprivileged in Antioch, TN. During January, service platoons lead a collective effort that empowers veterans to serve in new ways. In cities across the country, The Mission Continues Service Platoons like Nashville's are organizing virtual and in-person service events that exemplify the values Dr. King championed, honor his legacy, and tackle the challenges our communities face. To mark the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service, we salute those who fought and continue to fight, to improve their communities both in and out of uniform. We continue to serve because work is still to be done, and veterans are uniquely suited to affect meaningful and positive change.
