UPDATED MLK Day of Service

This year we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King by leaving a legacy of our own. Please join the Houston Platoon on January 14th, 2024 at the Apollo Learning center as we come together to uplift the local community and empower the new generation. The Apollo learning center provides activities and support to the senior citizens of the community. It also provides meals for children after school . Please join us and help in building eight raised garden beds four elevated garden beds, installing a mailbox, power washing sidewalks, assembling a shelving unit and helping to organize the storage spaces within the building. All painting that was scheduled for this event will be postponed due to weather. Check back to get updates on next month's event where we will be completing the painting. There will be snacks, music and lunch will be provided for all the volunteers. Bring smiles, positive energy and a warm jacket as the weather may start to get cold.
