In commemoration of the 15th anniversary of 9/11 The Mission Continues Orlando 1st and 2nd Platoons and Jacksonville Service Platoon are deploying for a weekend of service to support organizations that serve veterans and active military. While our missions include helping at-risk youth, mitigating hunger and homelessness, we realize that over the past 15 years of war nonprofit organizations have stepped in often filling the needs of military service members and veterans. We're doing this project in recognition of their service and provide support to continue their work. We are partnering with three organizations to make this project as success. Soldiers Freedom Outdoors is a ranch where veterans, active military, families and caregivers can find solace in nature and enjoy time riding horses, swimming, hunting and fishing during weekend retreats. On Friday, we'll arrive and prepare for our Saturday service project with Soldiers Freedom Outdoors. After the prep works is completed, volunteers will be fed by the staff and community volunteers recruited by Soldiers Freedom Outdoors. Additionally, volunteers are welcome to stay in the ranch house or camp out on the grounds. WHAT TO BRING :
