Event overview

The Atlanta 1st Service Platoon has been invited: Monday, June 22, Safe America and WSB-TV will once again partner in hosting a very special pre-4th of July event for our military. They've invited us to be their "guest' at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta as they salute and host members of the Georgia National Guard and all active duty military. Register FREE for you and your friends to attend this private event at https://safeamerica.org/veterans/events Know that you are also welcome to invite guests (in our organization) who are veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. The Safe America Foundation and WSB-TV will host Georgia military and their family and friends for a special celebration of America's Freedom on Monday, June 22. Veterans - current or previously having served - are invited to join us for a fun outing at the College Football Hall of Fame featuring a live performance by Kristian Bush at 6:30 pm. All Veterans and Military and their families are invited to attend for FREE.

Parking Information

Visitors can park in the College Football Hall of Fame Parking Deck (GWCC Marietta Deck), which is connected to the Hall of Fame and accepts all major credit cards. Free for up to 20 minutes $5 for 21 minutes to 1 hour $10 up to 3 hours $1 each additional hour thereafter.

Who We Are

The Mission Continues is a national non-profit that empowers veterans to continue serving in our nation’s under-resourced communities, giving veterans the opportunity to keep serving even after the uniform comes off, right here at home. Our programs deploy veterans and volunteers to work alongside nonprofit partners and community leaders to improve educational resources, tackle food insecurity, foster neighborhood identity, and more.  

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.

What is a Service Platoon? 

Service Platoons are your opportunity to engage and connect with veterans and community members while generating community impact in a real and tangible way. Led by veteran volunteer platoon leaders, each platoon works with dedicated community partners and volunteers to provide the manpower and support that they need to help them do their work more effectively. 

We currently have service platoons in more than 40+ cities across the country that are having events at least once a month. Everyone is invited to serve, regardless of veteran status: a service platoon is for you if you have a passion for service.
