Halloween Beach Cleanup - Seal Beach

October 26, 2025

08:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Orange County Platoon

Event overview

Join us for a HALLOWEEN beach cleanup. Feel free to come out dressed up.

Arriving: - Parking in the Seal Beach lot is NOT free. $2/hr capped at $10/day at the time of creating this. The cleanup hours are not a hard line, come as you can for however long you can. Note: The police tend to pass through during cleanups.

- Bring reusable water bottle (we don't have cups), reusable gloves (gardening or mechanic), and sun protection. - Avoid bringing plastic bottles, bags of chips, and other single use plastic products.

- Dress for the beach or halloween, choice is yours.
- Check in at the Surfrider popup tent - We have bags
Cleaning up: - You can scavenge the shoreline, beach, parking lot, etc.
- Do NOT collect seaweed, wood, rocks, stones, seashells by the seashore sold by Sally. Let us know if you find any 'sleeping' animals for Parks and Rec. to scoop up.
- Bring us back your trash once your bag is full, time runs out, or you must leave. We will weigh the trash, record the weight, then sort out the trash for items to be recycled
- For those that need community service hours, it is at this point that you can get a form stating you attended the cleanup.

Got any extra REUSABLE bags you want to donate to us? Bring them. We need to replenish our reusable bags at beach cleanups. Over the years they get torn, shredded, holes, and handles break off. Can you spare $10? If so, please donate to our chapter for a yearlong membership via our website: NorthOC.Surfrider.org @SurfriderNorthOC on IG

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
