Event overview

UPDATE: This event was rescheduled to August 2nd, 9 am - 5 pm, due to weather!

Hey TMC NYC, we're heading Uptown in the Boogie Down Bronx, Bedford Park. We're here to Partner alongside the Latino Carpenters Club of the NYCDCC. We're working side-by-side on Renovating & Beautifying Communal Spaces at a Church, for the Community-at-Large.

The Haven City Church envisions a Welcoming Space in which Community Members can Thrive. A Space where Differences can melt away in Community amongst people in a Shared Space. The Church currently runs an After School Program for HS Students. They would like The Mission Continues to help them Build Out other Services for the Community. This Promisingly includes a Day Care Center and a Food Pantry.

The Mission Continues is a Veterans led Service Organization that supports Community Based Initiatives. The Work on the Rooftop is the First in a Series of Service Events. This is to Protect the Bldg, so work on the Inner Works can begin within this Community Pillar.

No Experience needed other than to Climb to New Heights. Join Us as it will be a Sight to SEE Once Completed. Charlie Mike! (Continue Mission)

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
