Event overview

On Sept. 11, Volunteers of America will place American Flags on the grave sites of 1200 of our fallen heroes to commemorate 9/11. I need a few volunteers to fan out Tuesday, September 11, 2019 at the Southeast Louisiana Cemetery to ensure that every grave has an American flag beside it. Join me as we honor our fallen brothers and sisters in arms.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
