Maintaining Their Resting Place: A Day of Service at the Greenwood Cemetery

August 15, 2026

09:00 AM - 01:00 PM CDT

St. Louis Platoon

Event overview

"A society grows great when old people plant trees, whose shade they know they shall never sit in." **************************************** Come out and join Travis Manion Foundation's St. Louis Service Platoon for a day of service at the Historic Greenwood Cemetery. If you've never been there, you are in for a treat as you get to learn some little known St. Louis history. We will be helping the Greenwood Cemetery Preservation Association, one of our long time community partners, keep the area beautiful for those resting their and their loved ones who come to visit them by removing trash and performing light landscaping tasks. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Feel free to contact the TMF STL Chapter Service Platoon Leader, Kenric Lynn, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. He can be reached at 520-220-6503 (text preferred) or via email at kenricslynn@localnoon.com. We look forward to seeing you there! "If Not Me, Then Who.."

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
