Service Project

2026 Earth Day Clean Up

April 18, 2026

09:00 AM - 02:00 PM EDT

Boston Platoon

Event overview

Join Travis Manion Foundation Boston Service Platoon and the New England Chapter for an Earth Day service project as we come together to clean and beautify Middle River Park in Worcester.

Serve alongside volunteers for Earth Month Service Projects, one of six national service initiatives carried out by TMF veterans, families of the fallen, and inspired civilians across the country. These projects will focus on showcasing community, sustainability, and shared purpose, all in the name of a fallen hero.

Volunteers will work to remove trash and debris from the park and surrounding river area.

Last year's effort removed more than 25 tires, and we're returning to continue the work and make the area cleaner for the wildlife that call the park home.

WIN Waste will be providing gloves and pickers for volunteers, though you're welcome to bring your own. This project is family-friendly, with parking available on site.

Please wear comfortable shoes and long pants, and come ready to make a difference. If we're lucky, we might even spot some baby geese along the way!

This project will honor the life and legacy of Bruce "Peanut" Jerrett.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
