Veterans Day of Service - Painting Horse Tack Stalls at Ironstone Farm

November 15, 2025

Boston Platoon

Event overview

The Mission Continues Boston Platoon will be hosting a project honoring Veterans Day painting and staining the new horse tack stalls our Platoon built at Ironstone Farm in September to support their equine-assisted programs. We welcome you to come help support the farm to advance the cause of providing our veterans and first responders with the resources they need to heal from past trauma.

Ironstone Farm employs horses in a working farm environment, in varied programs helping children and adults with disabilities, veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, individuals with cancer, seniors with memory impairment, teens at risk, people in recovery from addiction and families in need throughout our local community and inner cities.

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
