" Join us for River des Peres Trash Bash on Saturday, October 25th! River des Peres Trash Bash is a large-scale cleanup of the River des Peres watershed. Volunteers will be cleaning areas along the Mississippi Greenway and River, near the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing memorial and will receive a t-shirt for participating! In addition to registering for the event on the TMC website, please visit https://tinyurl.com/TMCSTLPLT to register for your Open Space STL account, sign the waiver, and be automatically added to the, 'The Mission Continues - St. Louis Platoon' Team. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:45 am at the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing Visitor's center located at St. Louis Riverfront Trail, St. Louis, MO 63147. Click the link to view the map: https://tinyurl.com/MaryMeachumFreedomCrossing. Following the cleanup, all volunteers are invited to a post-cleanup celebratory picnic at Deer Creek Park (3200 N. Laclede Station Rd., Maplewood, MO 63143)! Enjoy a free lunch, live music, and our educational event Passport to Clean Water. We'll also have a trash contest with prizes for Biggest Trash, Weirdest Trash, and most bottles of Fireball. Bring your trash to the picnic to win! (Trash must be brought to the picnic for us all to admire, unless it is too large to move.). Visit A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 16. On-site restrooms are not available.
