Join the Miami Platoon on August 20th from 9:30AM – 2PM at the Pelican Harbor Marina (1275 NE 79th ST Causeway Miami, Florida 33138) for Operation firebush. The goals are as followed: Supporting coastal cleanup efforts at Pelican Harbor Marina and Island Planting 1000 native trees to restore the maritime hammock on Pelican Island The Miami Dade Park system is home to over 280 community parks and outdoor spaces, each with unique ecosystems and rich history. The Miami platoon will support in the restoration of Pelican Island for the community and the Naval Veterans that visit this island every year in honor of those who served. I’m eager to see every one of you show up and show support to our veterans by making this island a perfect meeting spot for the community and the veterans and their families.

What to Bring
Park staff will provide work gloves, sanitized tools, and other supplies needed to execute the task. Water, gatorade, and lunch will be provided for volunteers. Bring that energy and LET’S DO THIS!
