New York City Platoon

Event overview

We're combining forces with Friends of Mosholu Parkland, FOMP, to assist with NY4P's 22nd Annual Daffodil Project. We're Simply Planting 7,000 Daffodil Bulbs into the Fall Ground for Beautiful Spring Flowers alongside Mosholu Parkway. This is Our Continued Commitment to Bronx Service Platoon's Beautification Mission to Parks, Gardens and Public Spaces. Each Daffodil Planted represents someone we've lost from 9/11 and The Covid-19 Pandemic. This is part of NYC's 9/11 Remembrance.

FOMP will be our Service Partner providing tools, snacks and refreshments for participants. Please JOIN US as we plant LOVE across Mosholu Parkway in the North Bronx. We love to see Family, Friends, Children and Senior Citizens take part of our Support Project.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
