Service Project

Veterans Build New Beginnings of Tampa

November 11, 2020

07:00 AM - 02:00 PM EST

Tampa Platoon

Event overview

Join us as we build, assemble, and landscape the property alongside resident Veterans in honor of Veterans day. This year we wanted to ensure our brothers and sisters were cared for during these unprecedented times. Our day will begin promptly at 7:15am with a flag raising ceremony at 7:30am. We will also be painting 2 of the residential homes onsite. New Beginnings of Tampa runs a large Transitional Housing and Homeless Recovery Program that provides unaccompanied women, men and young adults over the age of 18 with a safe place to love and individualized, gender-responsive program of guidance and job training programs to help them stabilize their lives. A large percentage of our lives are U.S. Veterans, persons who have bravely served their country. We hope that you can join us in supporting this local community partner in their mission to continue to serve Veterans. No minor allowed for this project. Lunch is being provided for this event.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
