August Social @ Archery Games Boston

August 24, 2019

12:00 PM - 03:00 PM EDT

Boston Platoon

Event overview

Come join the Boston 1st Service Platoon at Boston's only COMBAT ARCHERY arena for a few hours of team-building fun! Combat archery allows two teams to battle it out with bows and foam tipped arrows in the Archery Games arena. The game-play is similar to dodge-ball and the ultimate objective of the game is to tag all of the opposing players with arrows in order to eliminate them from the game. Finally, obstacles in the arena change every round, so be sure to stay on your toes! This game itself is CHILD-FRIENDLY as long as they are age 10+. The arrows don't leave bruises thanks to their foam tips, but it can be shocking to get hit with one! Protective masks are provided by the facility. Because space is limited, we will start with (2) slots per family. Event Date/Time: Saturday, August 24th 2019 12:00 - 3:00PM Address: 121 Webster Avenue, #3 Chelsea, MA 02150

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
