Holiday Axe Throwing with TMC Boston/Lowell

December 20, 2019

08:00 PM - 10:30 PM EST

Boston Platoon

Event overview

Come celebrate the holidays by chucking some sharpened steel with the leadership of The Mission Continues' Boston and Lowell service platoons! We have about 15 slots available, each of which will cover 2.5 hours of axe throwing. Staff (and a few amateur expert throwers) will be on hand to assist with mechanics and kick off some friendly competition. Though food and beverages - including alcohol - are available on-site, you will be responsible for your own purchases. It should be a lot of fun. Come join us! Venue is 21+ only Address: Urban Axes Boston 2 Union Square Somerville, MA 02143 From their website: Urban Axes is proud to bring urban axe throwing to the Greater Boston Area! The sport of axe throwing was invented about 5 minutes after the first axe was created, however it was traditionally undertaken in an outdoor environment, far away from urban environments. Our aim is to take axe throwing out of the woods and into the bright lights of the big city, by presenting you with... Urban Axe Throwing!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
