Where were you when you first heard about or saw the 9/11 terrorist attacks?
I am a letter carrier for the USPS. I was at work that day and was told by a coworker who had been called by their wife and told what had happened. I was then delivering the mail and hearing people’s tv’s on high volume describing what was taking place. My wife and I had been in NYC just 10 days before the attacks.
How did the events of that day shape your life and inspire your service to this country?
I just can’t believe it’s been 20 years since that awful day. We think about all the lives lost every day.
What are you excited to contribute to your community, however you define it, for the next 20 years?
Just to continue to serve my country as I have been since I joined the Air Force in 1988; and then joining the USPS in 1992.
