MY connection to 9/11

  • I was serving in the military on 9/11

Where were you when you first heard about or saw the 9/11 terrorist attacks?

I was a Federal Technician with the SC Army National Guard and was at work at the Army Aviation Support Facility at McEntire JNGB when I heard of the first WTC "accident" and then the 2nd WTC attack.

How did the events of that day shape your life and inspire your service to this country?

It was confirmation of what and why I was a citizen soldier.

What are you excited to contribute to your community, however you define it, for the next 20 years?

I don't know. But, whatever The Lord or my nation calls me to do, I will as far as is physically and legally possible. The photo I posted is of my father and I, pre-9/11, at a Veterans Day service at our church.
