Time to relax a little! Edison High School has invited Philadelphia 1st Platoon to join them for a memorial service honoring those who have fallen. Afterwards we will be having food, some games for families on the lawn. The ceremony is expected to be around 2 hours. Feel free to arrive later for the food and fun. "Please join Edison High School in our Annual Edison 64 Memorial Ceremony on Friday, May 26, 2017. Given our history as the high school that lost more men to the Vietnam War than any other high school in the country, we remain committed to honoring veterans and their memories every day, and especially on Memorial Day. This year, Edison would particularly like to invite the volunteers from The Mission Continues to attend our ceremony, as the work you have all put in to our school has been extraordinary. We value you and your contributions to the school very, very much. The ceremony will be led by Edison's JROTC and feature ceremonial bagpipers, a wreath laying in our Memorial Garden, and an outdoor BBQ for all of our veteran attendees and their families. The ceremony begins at 9:10am sharp; please arrive by 8:45 for seating."
