She Went to War

March 26, 2017

01:00 PM - 05:00 PM CDT

Twin Cities Platoon

Event overview

Join members of the Minneapolis 1st and St. Paul 1st Platoons for a viewing of The Telling Projects She Went To War; an autobiographical performance by four female veterans, all of whom experienced significant combat experience. Their stories speak to and for many more women whose roles put them in the line of fire. Join us for this opportunity to understand and acknowledge the distinctive and important roles women have played on the battlefield. All are welcome, regardless of gender or military experience. There is an audience engagement portion following the performance. Following the performance, there will be an opportunity to talk about and digest the performance, while digesting some wonderful Thai food, across the street at Kindhee Thai. We have purchased 10 tickets, and if we have more expressed interest, then we will purchase more. We ask that if you sign up you attend, and if you are unable to attend you please contact the host of this event so that the tickets can be made available for other interested parties.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
