Event overview

On Monday January 18, 2016 The Mission Continues Newark Platoon will hosting a dinner for approximately 60 youth at Covenant House, a safe haven for homeless, trafficked, and runaway young people. This organization helps young people who are in immediate need, starting with the basic human necessity of shelter and addresses additional needs on an individual basis. The Newark Platoon will meet at 3:45 and begin to prep at 4. Platoon members and supporters will begin serving residents dinner at 4:30 pm. Dinner will run from 4:30 to 5:30pm and after dinner, our contact will show us around the facility as well as sharing information about Covenant House’s “Sleep Out”. The organization is super excited and looking forward to our presence on MLK Day January 18. We hope to see you there!
