Call to Action for MLK Day

January 16, 2016

10:00 AM - 02:00 PM CST

Chicago Platoon

Event overview

This is a Call to Action in honor of the legacy of Hank Martinez and a service project we are taking on for Dr. Martin Luther King Day 2016. This project will consist of light to heavy duty work. We will be painting, moving furniture, light clean up. We are looking for anyone with any skill level to join us in brining smiles and supportive help to a community that just lost a legend. They are trying to keep their spirits up and have a lot on their plate so we are stepping in to show that together we will continue his work and fix up this building so they can bring much needed social services to community members. We will be joining the Latino Resource Institute and UIC Community Outreach as well to make this service project a success. Friends and family are encouraged to come and join us in an awesome day working and remembering Hank Martinez.
