MLK Day of Service with the Student Conservation Assocation

Join The Mission Continues Brooklyn Platoon for our Martin Luther King Day of service at Gateway National Recreation Area. On this day of service, platoon members, supporters, and friends will help the Student Conservation Association (SVA) with resorting the Jamaica Bay waterfront and preserve historic buildings at Floyd Bennett Field. Kick off will be at the Ryan Visitor Center and there are FREE shuttles departing from Brooklyn College / Flatbush Ave. The SVA is also providing breakfast, lunch, work gloves, and all project supplies. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
