Livonia Park - Part 2

August 17, 2019

New York City Platoon

Event overview

On August 17th, The Mission Continues Brooklyn Platoon is heading out to Brownsville Brooklyn once again for an impactful day of service. We are going to remove cobblestone from the tree pits and add mulch to the tree pits, and add soil/pebbles to the planting area around the dog walk so that residents of Brownsville have a safe and beautiful park to gather with fellow community members in. Hope to see you there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
