Event overview

Come join the Portland 1st Platoon, as it reports for duty on MLK Weekend 2018 at the American Legion's Post 134. Post 134 continues to be an amazing supporter of TMC in the Alberta Arts District, and we are proud to count them as an awesome partner. For this project, we will be tackling some painting, building and cleaning out. They open their doors at 3 PM, when we will join them for an great meal. This one is going to be fun, and an opportunity to connect with other veterans.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
