MLK Day of Service 2026 at Wee Wee Belcher Garden of Tomorrow

January 24, 2026

07:45 AM - 11:00 AM MST

Phoenix Platoon

Event overview

Join us in the garden as we remember and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King and get our hands dirty with our core partner, Tiger Mountain Foundation. The Wee Wee Belcher Garden of Tomorrow is a brand new garden with plenty of work to be done. Tasks may include finishing garden beds, planting trees, turning on the water to the newly planted crops, prepping and possibly harvesting. NOTE: This site is NOT fenced in and there is very active traffic along Broadway Rd on the north side of the garden. Please consider this if you are bringing young children. Water, tools and gloves will be provided. There is a portajohn on site. There is NO parking at the garden but you can park at the American Legion at 1624 E. Broadway. You can also park in the business parking lot next door to the garden but spaces are very limited.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
