San Antonio College Urban Farm Ground Prep

The San Antonio Platoon is excited to announce our partnership with San Antonio Colleges and their efforts to fight food scarcity among our communities college students. Join us in our efforts to support SAC's new unitive. SAC/Eco Centro is in the process of breaking ground on a brand new 1-acre farm on the west side of their main campus. That area needs a lot of work. We will be helping with the following: Removing boulders and large rocks from the soil Filling sand bags Spreading compost Laying tarps if there is time

What to Bring

Please bring a full water bottle, hat, and sturdy, closed-toed shoes. If you own garden gloves, please bring them We have some on hand, but I recommend bringing some of your own snacks, water, bug spray, and sunscreen. We'll also have a tent for shade, an igloo cooler for refills.
