Event overview

Note: This event was rescheduled from 4/26 to 5/3 due to weather.

This April, The Mission Continues invites you to celebrate Earth Month by joining the Earth Month: Rooted in Service campaign! It's a time to take action, honor our planet, and uplift communities through veteran-led service projects.

Why Earth Month Matters:
Earth Month is more than just a celebration—it's a call to action. Every April, we unite to amplify sustainability efforts, create lasting community impact, and foster a sense of shared responsibility for our environment. With Earth Day, National Volunteer Week, and National Volunteer Month all happening in April, there are countless ways to get involved.

Join the Movement:
Join the Boston Platoon together with Mill City Grows for an inspiring day of service! We're transforming the Pawtucket Farm Wildlife Sanctuary. We will be building garden beds for the new community garden. Let's roll up our sleeves and make an impact!

Be Part of the Change:
Now is the time to act. Whether planting trees, removing invasive species, or building sustainable community spaces, your contributions make a difference. Let's cultivate a future rooted in compassion, sustainability, and shared purpose.

See you out there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
