Donation Sorting at Cradles to Crayons - The Giving Factory Warehouse

March 15, 2025

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT

Boston Platoon

Event overview

Join the Boston Platoon for a volunteer shift in The Giving Factory Warehouse with Cradles to Crayons. This project involves hands-on processing of the donated goods that flow in on a regular basis. Each station in the warehouse includes inspecting, sorting, and packaging donations to ultimately be distributed to the children in the greater Boston community.

All volunteers should arrive at The Giving Factory 15 minutes prior to the shift to check in.

All volunteers are encouraged to bring donations of children's items. Clothing (youth sizes 0-20 and adult sizes small & medium), Winter Coats and Jackets, and Shoes (infant/child sizes 5-13 and adult sizes 1-10) are most in need.

All volunteers must be at least 5 years old to volunteer with us. Any child under the age of 18 needs an adult present with them for the entire shift when they come to volunteer.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
